August 6th, 2010 . by EliasWhile coping with this excessively humid summer here in NYC, I’m glad to have a few ‘cool’ things to mention…
This Sat August 7th our little Anchovy movie that could, “With Anchovies…Without Mamma” will be making it’s Oakland premiere at the 16th annual Brainwash Movie Festival on opening night! This is the second year in a row that I’ve been honored to have a film I produced open this festival. For more info and ticketing info visit the fest’s official site: brainwashm.com/.
Our feature thriller “Gut” is officially picture locked and in audio post and scoring. Look for the return of some previous collaborators in these capacities, we’re very excited to have them on board again!
This month is also very busy for a couple other reasons – I’m helping to produce friend and “Gut” collaborator Rory Abel’s first feature “Alone”. This independently financed horror film will launch into production this Sat August 7th as well. I can’t give away much yet, but I think horror fans will be in for a treat with this one!
Also on the docket is animator and graphic artist Mike Pappa’s first live action short, “Frankie”, a twisted little neo-noir tale of an ambitious watch repairman/engineer of same name.
It’s also my pleasure to be playing parts in these two productions as actor as well as producer.
